Comment: Just today, after school, we had a tornado coming straight for the school. I usually wait for my grandma for an hour at this time. Well today, I was knitting in the library, when someone runs in yelling, "There's a tornado out there!". Thursday, October 04, 2007Name: Beverly Subject: dishcloth Comment: I would like to see a strawberry dishcloth, as they are a lot of fruit dishclothe, but i have yet to see a strawberry. I love this site and have learned a lot from it and i have knitted for a number of years. I like to knit the simple and quick things to knit. Thanks for a good site. Birdlady Tuesday, October 02, 2007Name: Alison - from Birmingham UK Subject: Stress and smoking Comment: Regarding Lilianna's comment about knitting helping to deal with stress - I am finding this to be very true. My job is rather stressful at the moment, and when I knit in the evenings, I can actually feel the tension dissolving. Sunday, September 30, 2007Name: Lilianna Subject: knitting Comment: I love knitting! I started getting really stressed last year and I wanted something to do that's relaxing. I found knitting and now I knit all the time! Thank you! Tuesday, September 25, 2007Name: MousieWoman Subject: So relaxing Comment: Hi MousieWoman here, I really enjoy knitting! it really helps me when I'm stressed! Today I was at school and was stressed so I got some hot chocolet sat down with my knitting and knitting book and boy did that do the trick!! There is something about a hot drink (tea, hot chocolet)and knitting that makes me feel much better. Hey, get this, tonight as I type this, I am of course knitting!( another scarf!!!) drinking some "pearl" hot chocolet!! (pearls left over from another drink) and of course my crochet bayarea squeakers (mice) keeping me company while I knit!! Who ever invented knitting, if I could tell them something it would be......THANK GOD FOR KNITTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Saturday, September 15, 2007Name: Kira Subject: Knitting Comment: I always knit these lil' scarves, earwarmers, jumpers and whatnot for my toys. Thanx nan 4 teaching me.:) Saturday, September 08, 2007Name: Bridget Bytheway Subject: Why knitting is good for your health Comment: Knitting has been my hobby for many years now, it has saved me a fortune in money, kept me healthy and probably kept me sane (my husband may not agree with that though!). Tuesday, September 04, 2007Name: MousieWoman Subject: knit nut lol Comment: Hi, I still love knitting more than ever!! I just finished another scarf (a blue with pink floral one. Now I think I'll work on some squares (you can do anything with these) I heard there is a knitters group at a Pearl Tea Place near where I live!! How neat is that??? Wednesday, August 08, 2007Name: Suanna Subject: Knitting Comment: I have been knitting since I was around 8 or 9 years old. I always used to knit clothes for my Barbie dolls (dresses, hats, etc) and I've made myself numerous scarves and even a pair of mittens. I don't think I could knit something big like a sweater, because it'd probably end up fitting weirdly. haha. Monday, August 06, 2007Name: Hannah Subject: love it!! Comment: Thank you for the patterns on here. I really enjoy this website and crochet pattern central too!! Saturday, August 04, 2007Name: Tabitha Subject: I love knitting! Comment: I was in a club for girls in grades 3-6. I am now in 7th. In 5th grade we had to learn how to crochet. I hated it. I was never taught by people one on one so I never learned. I did not finish til the next year. In 6th grade I found out I was going to be doing knitting. At first I dreaded the thought. I thought it would be like crochet. I had more one on one time with a leader though. At first it was confusing. It took me forever to cast on, but after I got going and finally realized how easy it was my family started calling me 'knitting wizard' I finished quickly and eventually made baby hats, wallets, blankets, headbands, ect. I have a word for you out there who think knitting is hard. Don't get that spirit cause it'll stick. And don't give up. It's all pretty much the same stitch. You'll love it in the end! Sunday, July 29, 2007Name: Anonmous (sorry cant spell) Subject: amigurumi Comment: does it count as amigurumi if i knit it? I tried to learn how to crochet to make amigurumi, but after about 6 years of knitting, i couldnt do it, so i made my own patterns. so far i have made apple lad, java man, happy poo, and larry the little lego lad. they-re cool! Wednesday, July 25, 2007Name: Lisa Subject: Hannah Comment: I love knitting! I was inspired by Hannah's comment, I also love horseback riding and I once broke my leg in a terrible accident. My mother would not let me ride again and I was also devastated. I was bored for a long time until I learned how to knit. I just can't imagine how miserable it must have been for Hannah, to be trampled by a large pony! Thank you if you have read this, I really appereciate it! Saturday, July 21, 2007Name: sam Subject: knitting rulz Comment: I love knitting! I'm planning to start my first sweater soon, and my friend and i are making a pattern for dumbledore's socks!! woot! Thursday, July 19, 2007Name: HM Subject: Inspiration Comment: To Hannah, and other handicapped knitters... Keep trying! Knitting is fun, and it is soothing. To knit easier with one hand, brace the left hand needle, either in your lap, or under your arm. But do not give up. knitting is an art form, and we all knit differently.
